I went to the dermatologist yesterday. As expected, it was a very simple procedure to remove the squamous cell carcinoma from the top of my head.  I will go back in 3 weeks to check to see if it has healed up properly.

I went to the cardiologist today. He said my stress test results weren’t too bad, but wanted to run an echo cardiogram.  Based on the results of that, he determined that my heart is “weak”, and he wants to investigate further. I will have a heart catheterization in late October.

Bonnie found out Friday morning that one of her brothers has a 21-year-old daughter that he did not know about. The young lady is pregnant with twins, and wanted to establish contact with her father. The babies will be just one of many sets of twins in Bonnie’s family.

Bonnie and I went to a party with my co-workers on Friday night. Ohio State demolished Iowa, but Florida did its usual rout over Kentucky on Saturday.

Today I go to the dermatologist to have a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my head. Tomorrow I have an early appointment with a cardiologist.

I watched a good bit of football Saturday afternoon and evening, as there were a number of interesting games.  Bonnie came over and fixed my favorite dinner, beef and noodles.

Sunday, we met up with other members of the Greater Cincinnati Miata Club, and had a nice drive on the back roads through northern and central Kentucky. We ended up in the town of Midway which was having a festival this weekend.

My biopsy turned up positive for squamous cell carcinoma.  This will be fixed with a simple laser procedure.

I will be seeing a cardiologist in a couple weeks to discuss the results of my stress test.

My urologist has suggested some tests to determine if a change in diet might help reduce the likelihood of forming more kidney stones.

Bonnie and I will be taking the Miata for a drive through northern and central Kentucky this Sunday. It has been awhile since we’ve been out for a drive, and the weather should be nice.

Bonnie tried her amateur radio test again Saturday morning for the third time, but did not pass. She has studied a lot and taken practice tests, but still no joy.

Ohio State lost a hard-fought game against Texas Saturday night.

I went to the dermatologist this morning. I have an actinic kerotosis on the top of my head, which is a pre-cancerous skin condition. It will be biopsied to see if it has become cancerous, which is called squamous cell carcinoma. If so, there is a simple laser procedure to fix the problem.

I got the new radio installed in the Miata Saturday afternoon. We have a nice, new Ace Hardware store just a couple blocks away.  I made a couple trips down there for items that I needed. It is great having a hardware store in the neighborhood again.

Bonnie had a family reunion at her house Sunday. Great food, and a chance to get re-aquainted with some of her relatives. Got to see some old pictures of the family. It was a great day for a drive with the top down.

Today I am in the office getting caught up on a few things.

I went to the UPS depot yesterday and picked up a new radio I had ordered for the Miata. It will be fun to get it installed, although I may have to wait for it to cool off a bit.

I had my stress test today at the Baptist Heart Institute, but won’t know the results until sometime next week.

Beautiful weather continues here. I went to the south end to have lunch with a friend of mine. I have had the top down on the Miata most of the day.

Bonnie is coming over tonight and we will go out to dinner.

Tomorrow is Ohio State’s first football game of the season, and Kentucky opens Sunday afternoon.
