Entry for February 26, 2007 part 2

Coming into Friday night’s game, the New York Rangers had only given up two shorthanded goals all year, which tied them for first in the NHL. But the Blue Jackets doubled their tally with two shorties in the second period, and held on to win 3-2. It was the first win even in Madison Square Garden for Columbus.

Unfortuately, the Jackets continued demonstrating their inability to beat Nashville in a 4-3 loss last night.

The Kentucky women were looking for a win in Gainesville yesterday to even their SEC record. It wasn’t to be, and the Lady Kats finished 6-8 in the loop.

The UK men have now lost four-in-a-row to Vanderbilt. Yesterday in Nashville, the Cats led for the first 39 minutes and 35 seconds of the game, but ended up losing by 2.
