Entry for October 23, 2007

The Blue Jackets got us excited Friday night as they went to Buffalo and shut out the Sabres 3-0. Pascal Leclaire recorded his third shutout of the year. But then Columbus came home and was whipped by Vancouver 4-1. So, the Jackets continue to limp along at around .500.

Ohio State took a 24-0 lead on Michigan State, then let the Spartans back in the game before hanging on for a 24-17 win. Kentucky played well but lost to Florida 45-37. The SEC East is still wide open.

The rains started early Monday afternoon here, and are expected to continue for most of the week. Just what the doctor ordered for the severe drought we have been in.
