Entry for October 27, 2008

Well, there were some good football games Saturday. Unfortunately, my teams weren’t involved in any of them :-).

Kentucky hadn’t been routed in awhile. But in The Swamp the Cats had their first two punts blocked and ended up losing 63-5.

Penn State and Ohio State got together for a defensive battle. OSU was ahead 6-3 and was moving the ball. But one lost fumble made the difference and the Lions won 13-6.

The Blue Jackets were 0-2 for the weekend. I didn’t see the game Saturday night at Minnesota but I understand there was a controversial ruling of “no goal” on a Nash attempt that would have tied the game with 11.5 seconds left in regulation.

Could the stock market be making a “W” bottom? The Dow low was about 7773. After today’s low of 8175, we’re 400 points above the low. It will be interesting to see if 7773 holds.
