Entry for December 07, 2008

We had our first significant snow this weekend. It didn’t amount to much in terms of depth, but there were scattered travel problems around the state. Bonnie went out in it to finish her Christmas shopping, but got home unscathed.

One final regular-season football game to mention was Tennessee’s win over Kentucky in Philip Fulmer’s last game. That made like 24 in-a-row for the Vols over the Cats.

Kentucky and Ohio State had another common opponent in basketball. The Buckeyes traveled to Miami and trailed for most of the game. But the Bucks rallied and won 73-68. Jack McClinton was ejected for taking a swing at Anthony Crater. Having McClinton out of the line-up might well have been the difference.

Miami came to Rupp Arena yesterday and won 73-67. The Canes had a 20-point lead at halftime, then held on for the win as Kentucky rallied to make it close.
