Entry for March 15, 2009

The Blue Jackets won all three games since my last post, and now have a four-game win streak going.

Boston game to town Tuesday and went home with a 2-0 shutout loss. It was Steve Mason’s ninth shutout, which is best in the league.

On Thursday, Columbus had a 3-0 lead over Pittsburgh early in the 3rd period. But the Pens rallied to tie it at 3. Christian Huselius had the lone goal in the shootout and the Blue Jackets had another two points.

Friday night, in a game I didn’t get to see, Columbus won in Chicago 5-3. Wade Dubielewicz started between the pipes, giving Steve Mason a rest.

Tonight, the Jackets host Detroit, 8-2 losers to Columbus last weekend. It will be interesting to see if the Red Wings have improved their goaltending situation.
