Entry for March 22, 2009

Columbus was behind at Florida 1-0 last night with 2:46 left in the game. That’s when Raffi Torres scored 2 goals in one minute-13 seconds to give the Jackets a 2-1 lead. An empty-netter late sealed the 3-1 victory. Torres was obtained earlier this season in a trade for Gilbert Brule. He was advertised as a “game changer”, and sure enough that’s what he did.

The Blue Jackets have not locked up a playoff spot, but Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch says the Jackets are in.
