I had another RTTY contest last night, the North American QSO Party (NAQP). I made 215 contacts in 8 hours of work. The nice thing about the NAQP series of contests (there are 6 a year, 2 each for CW, SSB and RTTY) is that all participants are limited to 100 watts.

The Ohio State women are champions of the Big Ten. They beat Wisconsin and Penn State this week to finish with a 15-3 conference record. The Kentuckty women lost at home again, this time to Georgia, but finished the regular season today with a win at South Carolina. I believe Kentucky is the 10th seed in the SEC tournament coming up next weekend.

The OSU men got blown out at Purdue, and are at .500 in the conference. Getting a first-round bye in the Big Ten tournament isn’t out of the question, but they will have to hope that a number of other teams above them lose.

The Kentucky men got blown out at South Carolina, then came home and gave SEC champion LSU a good game before losing by 3.

The Blue Jackets are in western Canada. After losing to Calgary 4-1, Columbus rallied to win at Edmonton 1-0 as Steve Mason got his eighth shutout. Tonight it’s Vancouver.
